PINGERBIRD FOR AI ASSISTANTS

Teach with your AI assistant. Publish on Pingerbird.

Connect your Pingerbird account to Claude or ChatGPT and ask in plain words for a Mock Test, chapter notes or a post for your Nest. Your assistant prepares it, Pingerbird saves it, and you review before your learners see it.

  • Mock Tests with all six question types
  • Notes with maths and diagrams
  • Posts, polls and Nests

Connector address

One address for Claude and ChatGPT:

https://api.pingerbird.com/mcp

  1. Add it as a custom connector in Claude, or a custom MCP server in ChatGPT.
  2. Sign in to Pingerbird on the page that opens.
  3. Check the account shown and select Allow.

Pingerbird works with AI assistants such as Claude by Anthropic and ChatGPT by OpenAI. Once your account is connected, you can ask the assistant in plain words to prepare a Mock Test, write chapter notes or post an announcement, and it does the work in your Pingerbird account.

Tests and notes arrive as drafts. You review them in the Pingerbird web app, and your learners see something only when you publish it.

What you can ask for

Mock Tests. The assistant writes the questions and Pingerbird saves them as a draft test, with sections, marks and negative marking. All six question types are supported: single-correct and multiple-correct MCQs, true or false, fill in the blanks, assertion–reason and written answers. It can add diagrams it draws, change or remove questions, adjust settings such as the time limit, and publish the test to your Nests when you ask.

Notes and articles. The assistant can draft study notes with headings, lists, maths and diagrams, edit them later and publish them to your Nests.

Posts and polls. It can post an announcement with hashtags and images, edit a post, create a poll and close it.

Nests. It can create a free or paid Nest and change its name, description, tags or cover image. Prices, coupons and members stay in the app.

A few example requests:

  • “Make a 25-question JEE Main physics test on laws of motion for my students. 60 minutes, +4 for correct, −1 for wrong.”
  • “Write short notes on photosynthesis for Class 10 with a labelled diagram, then publish them in my Biology Nest.”
  • “Post ‘Test tomorrow at 9 AM #physics’ in my JEE Nest.”
  • “Show me question 7 of my physics test and make it harder.”

What you need

  • A Pingerbird account. To create tests, Nests and notes you also need a creator profile. If you don’t have one yet, the assistant asks for the name your learners should see, whether you teach on your own or as an institute, and a phone number, then sets it up.
  • An account with your AI app. In Claude you add Pingerbird as a custom connector; on the Free plan you can add one. In ChatGPT you add it as a custom server through developer mode. Plans and limits are set by Anthropic and OpenAI and can change, so check their help centres for the current details.

Connect your AI app

Choose the app you use. The connector address and the Pingerbird sign-in are the same for both.

Connect Pingerbird to Claude

These steps use Claude in your browser at claude.ai or the Claude desktop app. Menu names can change slightly over time.

  1. Open Claude and go to Settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Enter the name Pingerbird and the connector address https://api.pingerbird.com/mcp.
  4. Leave the advanced settings (OAuth client ID and secret) empty, then select Add.
  5. Select Connect. A Pingerbird page opens.
  6. Sign in to Pingerbird if asked and check that the account shown is yours. Read what Claude will be able to do, then select Allow.
  7. You return to Claude, where Pingerbird now shows as connected.

In a new chat, make sure Pingerbird is turned on in the chat’s tools or connectors menu, then ask for what you need. Mentioning Pingerbird helps Claude choose it, for example “in Pingerbird, make a quiz on…”.

On your phone. A connector you add on the web is also available in the Claude mobile app when you sign in with the same Claude account.

In Claude Code. Add Pingerbird from your terminal with claude mcp add --transport http pingerbird https://api.pingerbird.com/mcp, then type /mcp, choose pingerbird and Authenticate to open the same Pingerbird sign-in page.

Connect Pingerbird to ChatGPT

ChatGPT adds custom servers through its developer mode. Which plans offer it is set by OpenAI and can change, and menu names can change slightly over time.

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps and, under Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode.
  2. Choose to add a custom MCP server (in some versions this is under Plugins).
  3. Enter the name Pingerbird, choose Server URL and enter https://api.pingerbird.com/mcp.
  4. Leave Authentication set to OAuth and the advanced OAuth settings as they are. Confirm that you trust the server, then create it.
  5. Sign in to Pingerbird on the page that opens, check that the account shown is yours and select Allow.

In a new chat, turn Pingerbird on from the tools menu and ask for what you need, for example “Using Pingerbird, make a 10-question Class 10 science quiz.”

How Pingerbird keeps you in control

  • Drafts first. Mock Tests and notes are saved as drafts, and the assistant gives you a link to open each one in the web app.
  • Changes are separate steps. Publishing, sharing, posting, creating polls or Nests, and editing or removing content are each a separate action that your AI app can ask you to approve first. How it asks depends on the app and your settings.
  • Learners are notified as usual. When you publish a test or notes, post, or create a poll, learners in those Nests receive the normal notification.
  • Check the answers. Pingerbird checks that every question is complete and that its maths will display correctly. It does not re-solve questions, so review the answers before you publish, especially for numerical problems.
  • Images. The assistant can add diagrams it draws and pictures from public web links. Pingerbird does not create pictures. A photo you attach in your chat cannot be passed on to Pingerbird; add it in the web app instead.
  • No deleting. The assistant cannot delete your tests, notes, posts or Nests. Use the app for that.
  • Fair-use limits. Daily limits apply to the number of tests, questions, Nests and posts made through AI apps. The assistant tells you when you reach one.

Disconnect at any time

You can remove the connection from either side:

  • In Pingerbird: open your account menu in the web app, choose Connected apps and select Disconnect next to the app.
  • In Claude: go to Settings → Connectors and remove Pingerbird.
  • In ChatGPT: open the app list in Settings and remove Pingerbird.

Disconnecting takes effect immediately. What the assistant already created stays in your account. To use it again, connect again from your AI app.

Read the Connected AI Apps section of our Privacy Policy to see what the connection can access and what we keep.

If something doesn’t work

  • “This link has expired”: the sign-in page is valid for a few minutes. Go back to your AI app and connect again.
  • “Not open for this account yet”: the connection may still be opening up in stages. Contact us and we’ll help.
  • The assistant doesn’t use Pingerbird: check that Pingerbird is turned on for the chat, and mention Pingerbird in your request.
  • You can’t add another connector in Claude: the Free plan allows one custom connector at a time, so you may need to remove another one first.
  • You can’t find developer mode in ChatGPT: it may not be available on your plan or workspace yet; OpenAI decides which plans include it.
